spray tan

this gypsie came by last night offering spray tans and palm readings.
i passed on the spray tan but got my palm read instead.
she said that this summer will be grand, full of outings and festivals
and she also told me of a girl… beautiful bronze girl with the skin colour of the setting sun.
she also saw the number 1
although when i asked her if it was me or her she replied she was tired and could not see exactly.
i must admit i was liking what she was telling me but then she started
going on about tans again… which surely lead back to her spray tan
spiel.
i grew irritated and a little frightful for my natural complexion so i ushered her out, shoving a couple notes into her hand.
she didn’t like that and said something in a strange tongue while brushing her hands firmly down my arm.
today i woke up and im the color of an orange!
its not pretty.
but still can’t help but wonder who this number 1 girl is…
and if her tan is going to match my freakishly orange complexion.

I called up my service provider because I’ve received a heap of messages that I wasn’t supposed to receive. I’ve had problems with my phone before like calls cutting out but this was even more annoying since thousands of messages came flooding through, dating further and further into the future. They said they will get back to me and in the mean time not to read the messages as it could alter the coarse of time forever. Bloody mobile companies, they always do shit like this.

the smell of caramel lingers long after she is gone and haunts the empty pillows when I wake
she must have come under the cover of night and fast talked her way into my dreamless sleep
sometimes I see her perched on the branches outside my window blowing me kisses in the wind
I watch them being taken away into street lit amber sky for the city to keep and in the morning the only thing that remains is the scent of caramel

this is the tenth day ive stayed in bed,
drowning myself in a scent of a scarf i found on the street.
im thinking of getting up and taking a shower becauce my bed is starting to smell,
and the scarf is starting to smell like me
